BI-NATIONAL BUSINESS GRANTS TO MEXICO
DEADLINE EXTENDED: NOVEMBER 30, 1999
The U.S.-Mexico Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange is
offering 15 grants (tuition and stipend) for U.S. students to pursue
studies in business, law, and/or engineering while interning at
Mexico-based corporations. The requirements are as follows:
---U.S. Citizenship
---BS/BA in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Law, Economics and/or
---MS/MA in Business or International Business Administration,
International Relations or Economics from a U.S. university
---A minimum of two years U.S. work experience in an industrial,
commercial or financial business.
---Proficiency in Spanish.
Students will live and work in Mexico from September through
June/July taking two graduate level courses per trimester (two
evenings per week) while working from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm five days per
week. Currently participating academic institutions are the
prestigious ITAM in Mexico City, and ITESM in Monterrey and Torreon.
The list of participating corporations grows each year, but has
included Dupont, Procter and Gamble, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Telmex, and
Cemex.
