Call for Papers

LUSOPHONE LITERATURES

Ninth Biennial Northeast Regional Meeting
American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese
Providence, Rhode Island
21-24 September 2000

Papers or panels in any aspect of the literatures of the Portuguese
speaking world.

Single papers are welcome, but panel proposals involving three papers on a
particular theme are also encouraged. Titles should be short (no more than
10 words) and descriptive. Send your proposals for a paper or panel along
with a one page abstract and a fifty word summary of your paper or papers
for a panel by November 15, 1999 to Gregory McNab. Include your e-mail
address.

If you know colleagues interested in Lusophone topics other than
literature, tell them our meeting will also have sessions in other areas
(Linguistics, Pedagogy, Arts and Culture, FLES, Media and Film, Language
Learning Issues) where we want to see both the P and the S equally strong.
