September 24 -26, 1999

Who: All Students (high school,Under/grad/law), Community,Faculty/staff

Theme of the Conference :

" Relocating Aztlan: Chicano Culture and its Authenticity in the
Midwest "

Topics/ panels welcome from all disciplines:
literature, sociology, anthropology, health, history, Chicano & Latino
intro community relations, education, politics/government, Chicano intra
community relations, etc.

All abstracts must include:

1.A brief description of paper/panel to be presented and how it relates to
Chicano studies/issues in the Midwest.
2.A list of persons presenting and their affiliations (Community member, Dr.
Aztlan of C/S University, etc.).
3. List of equipment needed (overhead, screen, dance floor).

as a Dance, Dinner, or community function , please use the same dead

Setting:
The Michigan Capitol Area is a friendly area, with the Mexican barrios
located on the North, East, and South side. All campuses, hotels, and
stores are on the bus line. Most facilities are handicap accessible, and
will used in determining panel locations.
