Keywords and Search Engines

Every few months, I have to compose a list of keywords and phrases for the
linguistically challenged newswire services. Last time, I choose words
used by the Latino community to define themselves and the world around them,
in order to produce news leads.

Some of the words were fairly cutting edge, others old standbys

ie: narco-corrida, pocho, la migra

I would welcome any suggestions that you have to offer. These
keywords are to be used in the hopes of finding stories that are topical and
relevant to the Hispanic community.

Why am I doing this, in order to deliver more extensive news coverage to
my readers. I'm especially interested in the people and places that are
likely to make the headlines within the next few months. Plus, any lingo
Latinos use to refer to each other and to technology.

If the list is especially juicy, I will post a compendium of words and
definitions.
