American, European and African religious traditions in Latin America.

THE VIRGIN AND THE DEVIL IN THE NEW WORLD:
Religious Encounters in Latin America
February 28-March 1, 1997

This conference is dedicated to professor Richard Greenleaf. France V.
Scholes Professor of Colonial Latin American History at Tulane
University. it will commemorate the 100th anniversary of Professor
Scholes' birth.
