Senate Approves Dual Nationality
The Senate unanimously approved three constitutional reforms which will
allow Mexicans to retain their nationality while also adopting that of
another country. There are an estimated two million people who have given
up their Mexican nationality in order to become citizens of another country.
They will have a period of five years in order to request a re-instatement
of their Mexican citizenship. (La Jornada, 6 December).
