Worldwide presentation of "InterAmerica Jerusalem" unites distinguished
academic, cultural and financial representatives from the Americas.

We are greatly honoured to invite you to the worldwide
presentation of "Interamerica Jerusalem", a ceremony that will take place
October 15th, 1996 at 6:00 P.M. on the Hall of the Americas, at the Main
Building of the Organization of the American States (OAS), 17th Street &
Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20006.

Adolfo Bioy Casares and Sergio Renan will be distinguished on
October 15, 1996 with the "Jerusalem 3000" Award, commending their
contribution to the world of literature, theater and film. The award pays
homage to men and women who have attained distinction in interfaith dialogue
and cultural achievements.

The ceremony honoring Bioy Casares and Renan, forms part of the
events commemorating the founding of and worldwide presentation of the "InterA
merica Jerusalem", a nonprofit institution founded in 1966. The institution
was founded even before the encyclical"Nostra Aetate" document issued by Pope
Paul VI establishing new parameters for relations between Roman Catholics and
Jews. Embracing Catholics, Islamic, Protestants, Jews and Agnostics, the
institution is committed to improving relations and dialogue for the
furthering of inter religious and community peace.

Hosted by the Organization of the American States in Washington
D.C. ,the ceremony unites a prestigious group of ambassadors from North and
South America, representatives of American culture, high ranking religious
authorities, businesspeople and community leaders of all faiths.

Over the years, "Argentine House" has been consolidating its
reputation as a unique "Enterprise for the Spirit", summoning distinguished
international personalities in the spheres of religion and culture. Jorge
Luis Borges was one of its founding members.

In 1992, Monsignor Antonio Quarracino traveled to Israel, invited
by "Argentine House". His pilgrimage marked the first journey of an Argentine
Primate Cardinal to Israel.

T hat same year witnessed the first visit of an Argentine
President to the Holy Land. President Carlos Saśl Menem included in his
agenda a visit to our institution in Jerusalem.

Thus, next October 15th, "Argentine House in Israel-Holy Land" off
ers to all the countries in the Americas its thirty years of experience in
achieving goals. "Interamerica Jerusalem" aspires to become a forum for all
the countries of the American Continent, providing them with a place, in the
Holy Land, from which they can display their cultures and customs.

The event is achieved with the collaboration of the Argentine
Embassy in Washington, Argentine Delegation to the OAS , and the endorsment
of Perez Companc , Claridad AFJP, ITT Hartford, Telearte, Bansud, Isaura,
Banco Ciudade , Telecom Argentina , SICA , Bridas, IMPSA , Athuel, La
Industrial, Aerolineas Agentinas, EL-AL airlines, Alvear Palace Hotel, Tecno
Sudamericanas, SINEA, Banco Interfinazas.
