Dear LASNET subscribers,

With Summer approaching, several list members have asked about the
"postpone" function. The postopone command allows you to temporarily stop
receiving mail from the LASNET list, useful if you will be travelling
during the Summer. The procedure to postpone, and then renew, is as
follows:

To stop receiving mail from LASNET, send a message, leaving the subject
line blank, to the address:

listproc@mcfeeley.cc.utexas.edu

In the body of the message, include only the following text:

set lasnet mail postpone

You will receive a message confirming that your lasnet mail is
"postponed."

To reinitiate delivery of your LASNET mail, send a message, leaving the
subject line blank, to the address:

listproc@mcfeeley.cc.utexas.edu

In the body of the message, include only the following text:

set lasnet mail ack

You will receive a message confirming that your mail delivery has been
reinstated.

If you have any questions or difficulties with this procedure or other
list function, please write us at:
