The newsletter for Shoestrings & Grace and
SPAN/Alternative Networks is now on-line. Send an
e-mail message to:

SPAN-SG@igc.apc.org

and a copy will be automatically sent to your mailbox.

The current edition contains three brief articles:

1. A report of S&G's second minicaravan to Mexican
base communities and cooperatives in the central part
of Mexico, and of participation by two S&G/SPAN
volunteers with the Radical Philosophy Association
meeting with philosophers and activists in Mexico City.

2. An article about the upcoming S&G work brigade to
Mexican base communities in July.

3. A description of support in central New York state
and elsewhere for the grassroot projects' recent work in
solidarity with people in Nicaragua, Honduras, Cuba and
Mexico.

SPAN/Alternative Networks and Shoestrings & Grace are
two ecumenical NGOs which work from upstate New York as
grassroots social-justice and human-rights projects from
themes of liberation theology and the pedagogy of the
oppressed. Members also seek to educate people in the
United States about the profoundly destructive effects of
neoliberalism and neocolonialism throughout the
hemisphere and world.
