Estimados colegas: Quisiera pedirles un gran favor. Como alguno de
Uds. saben, estoy escribiendo mi tesis doctoral sobre novelas latino-
americanas del siglo XIX. El favor es el siguiente: necesito obtener
un ejemplar de la novela cubana titulada Sab de Gertrudis Gomez de
Avellaneda. Tengo una copia que pertenece a la Universidad de Kentucky,
pero la edicion no es muy buena y no tiene un buen estudio preliminar.
En verdad necesito tener una copia personal de dicha novela, y por
supuesto prefiero una que sea una edicion con estudio preliminar hecho
por algun erudito, pero tambien estaria contenta con cualquier ejemplar.
Si alguno de Uds. sabe donde podria obtener un ejemplar o si tienen uno
que me puedan vender, se los agradeceria de todo corazon. Por favor

Dear Colleagues: As some of you may know, I am writing my dissertation
on Latin American novels of the XIX century. I am asking for your help
in trying to aquire a personal copy of the Cuban novel Sab. Currently
I am using an edition belonging to the university library, which is
not entirely satisfactory. I would of course prefer an edition with
a preliminary study, however, I would also be happy with any edition.
The novel was written by Gertrudis Gomez de Avellaneda. I have tried
just about all sources I can think of, so I thought I would see if any
of you have any ideas or know where I could aquire an edition. If you
