I am currently doing a Masters degree in Latin
American Studies at Oxford University. I will be going out to
Chaletenango (hopefully) this summer to conduct field research on the
agrarian reform programme in Salvador after the peace accords of a few
years ago. Specifically, I am hoping to look at the guaranteed
distribution of lands to ex-combatants and to returning campesinos.
Information, data and contacts here in Oxford are somewhat limited and I
would greatly appreciate anything on the extent, success, social and
economic implications that the reform programme is having.
