Towards a Culture for Democracy in Paraguay

April 17-19, 1994

The Latin American Studies Center will hold an interna-
tional conference on ``Towards a Culture for Democracy in
Paraguay,'' April 17-19, 1994. This is the fifth and
closing conference of LASC's ``Cultural Repression and
Re-Democratization in the Southern Cone'' series designed
to analyze the repression of culture under the military
regimes and the role of culture at various stages of re-
democratization. The Conference is co-sponsored by the
Direccion de Cultura de la Municipalidad de Asuncion and
the Ministerio de Educacion of Paraguay.
